Eyes day 7

cannot draw eyes at all in different rotations. ahhh

Weird hands

I started out with a photo ref. It came out bad because I was just eyeing the photo with out thinking of proportion. The length of the thumb in relation to the palm is really important. After a few more studies I saw that the thumb can pass the palm around the knuckle area (if extruding). My second drawing (first row, second hand), was of my own hand but the fingers came out messy unnatural. I tried the pose again and got it a little bit better. I keep messing up the position fingers can do and can't do. In the last row I decided to try weird positions to learn the extent of finger flexivility.

Heads day 5

haha, im not awake.

applying new hand knowledge

The original hand is actually impossible to do.

I tried out drawing hands that would fit the expression I wanted. All referenced from my own hand. It's hard. I really need more practice. Back to hand studies tomorrow.

Learning Heads Day 2

Here's some heads I did from photos while applying the Loomis method to the heads. Then did some non reffed ones to see what I learned still got more to do.

Hands day 2

The hand with the marker in it is the last hand I drew. My lines are getting much cleaner.

I actually felt more like I learned something today. I started out drawing an old hand. That was more like a warm up to the rest of the learning. I learned my problem is drawing palms. It's why I cant draw expressive hands well. In fact, I don't think I've ever really paid attention to the palm. I feel new wrinkles forming on my brain! :B

Learning heads

Still need to get a better structure down, just need to do more and more! The shapes are still a little wonky and the placement of my features isnt too great at the moment, So I will definitely have to work on that.

Learning Hands

First hand is from a loomis sketch second and third is from my head. Thinking of a hand gesture is a bitch. Need more practice.
Here's my first hand study from a Loomis sketch. I need to remember this blocky structure. Tomorrow I think I'll draw from a photo. Yea day 1 !
